Micro-needling is also known as collagen induction therapy. It is an invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that helps to improve the appearance of acne scars, fine lines, and deep wrinkles. It minimizes the signs of aging by stimulating collagen production in the skin.

Benefits of Micro-Needling:

  • Improves fine lines & deep wrinkles
  • Reduces acne scars
  • Evens skin tone
  • Lightens Hyperpigmentation & sun spots
  • Reduces appearance of pores
  • Firms & smooths skins texture
  • Heals Scars
  • Soften stretch marks
  • Brings back the glow for fresher, younger-looking skin

At Dr Marcos MedSpa, we add Platelet Rich Plasma, or PRP, to the procedure to greatly enhance the micro-needling benefits. This complete treatment is also known as the vampire facial.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

What is it?

Although blood is mainly a liquid (called plasma), it also contains small solid components (red cells, white cells, and platelets.) The platelets are best known for their importance in clotting blood. However, platelets also contain hundreds of proteins called growth factors which are very important in the healing of injuries.

Platelets, which are found in blood (plasma), are made up of proteins & growth factors which are very important in the healing of injuries. During a PRP treatment, blood is first drawn from a patient, then platelets are separated from the patients’ blood, thereon we transfer the PRP either topically or injected into a desired area.
