Fractora V

Conveniently located to serve Houston

Fractora in Houston is used to treat fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, hyperpigmentation, and scarring. It accomplishes this by combining the effects of radiofrequency energy with fine microneedles to trigger enhanced collagen renewal. Fractora uses microchannels of energy to stimulate collagen production and speed up subdermal skin tightening.

Ideal Fractora Candidates

Fractora is a good choice for skin rejuvenation if you want to look younger and have tighter skin but don’t want to go through the pain and recovery time that comes with invasive surgery.

Patients with acne scarring who also have mild to severe wrinkles and sagging skin may undergo treatment with Fractora. Individuals in generally good health who wish to enhance skin tone and address texture irregularities are also suitable candidates for the treatment.

Fractora Treatment Preparation

In order to get the most out of your Fractora treatment, it is essential to prepare your skin beforehand. At least four to six weeks before the procedure, you should stay out of the sun; this includes avoiding tanning beds. You should also stop taking NSAIDs, but only with your doctor’s approval.

Before getting Fractora, you will be told to stop using Accutane Gold Therapy for six months and not drink alcohol for at least 24 hours before and after treatment. It is also crucial to hydrate yourself before and after your therapy.

What to Expect During the Fractora Procedure

Depending on the size of the affected area, the actual Fractora process should only take around 30 minutes. Before beginning the procedure, a numbing cream will be applied, since a fractional laser can cause minor discomfort.

Fractora administers radiofrequency energy to the skin via several pins that generate localized heat and micro-lesions. The heat created by the needles penetrates the subcutaneous area and stimulates collagen remodeling.

Since the micro-lesions produced by Fractora are spread out, the skin can heal faster. Radiofrequency energy makes it possible to heat the skin in a controlled way. The heat improves the appearance of the skin significantly.

Fractora addresses skin blemishes on any area of the body. The face/neck and the region above the knees are the areas that are most often treated.

Aftercare Following Fractora Treatment

The average patient recovers quickly and can go back to work in as little as 2 days. Mild redness and inflammation are possible, but they usually go away within 24 hours. If you want to speed up the healing process, you should put prescribed ointment on the affected region 2 or 3 times a day for the next three days.

After Fractora treatment, patients will be instructed to keep the affected region moisturized and out of the sun for a few days. Patients are encouraged to use a good broad-spectrum sunscreen every day to protect themselves from the sun.

Fractora Treatment Results

Most patients should expect to see the effects of Fractora treatment as soon as the redness and inflammation subside, usually within 2 to 3 days. Collagen renewal is stimulated by a fractional laser, therefore improvements may be seen over a period of 3-6 months. Most people do best with multiple treatments spaced out over the course of a few months to allow the skin to heal in between.

Fractora offers long-lasting results. However, more treatments may be required to counteract new signs of aging over time.
